Finding time for self-care and rejuvenation can often be challenging in our busy lives.
As two best friends juggling the responsibilities of marriage, family, and work, my girlfriend and I yearned for a getaway that would allow us to reconnect with ourselves and prioritize our wellness.
Our destination of choice was the stunning Viceroy Los Cabos in San Jose Los Cabos, renowned for its breathtaking architecture and serene surroundings. Viceroy Los Cabos has expansive views of the sea, the beachfront, four pools, a jacuzzi, and endless places to get lost on the property. Join us as we embark on a transformative journey toward inner peace and relaxation in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Warm Welcome: When we arrived at Viceroy Los Cabos, we were greeted by the warm and inviting spirit of the staff, which set the tone for our stay, and every detail was handled with care.

We were welcomed with their refreshing signature mocktail, instantly transporting us to a world of tranquility. Accompanied by a friendly staff member, we were escorted to our room, where we were given a thorough overview of the property and its layout. The sense of hospitality and genuine care made us feel right at home.
A Room with a View: Our room was in building five on the third floor and offered a breathtaking view of the ocean and the sprawling property of endless pools glistening in the sun.
The double queen bed and outdoor patio with a day bed provided the perfect sanctuary for relaxation and contemplation. The amenities, especially the ROIL bath products, did not disappoint. The simplicity of the room's design allowed the natural beauty outside to take center stage, reminding us of the serenity that awaited us.
Culinary Delights: Viceroy Los Cabos treated us to a culinary experience that delighted our taste buds. With over six restaurants and lounges, we were excited to explore!

We found ourselves drawn to the Nidito Beach + Poolside Bar, where we indulged in grilled locally caught fish, making the best fish tacos and the best poke made from locally caught fish and fresh vegetables. The flavors were exceptional, and we soon craved these delectable dishes for lunch throughout our stay.
The NIDO, an Asian-inspired restaurant on-site, provided a unique dining experience that infused local flavors into every dish. We savored our meals in this intimate and enchanting setting.
Wellness and Relaxation: One of the highlights of our stay was the Spa at Viceroy Los Cabos. This was no ordinary spa but a haven of holistic and traditional practices inspired by the indigenous Mexican people. We were fortunate to partake in a sound bath healing session led by the spa director, Vanessa. The experience transported us to a state of deep relaxation, aligning our mind, body, and spirit.

We also experienced a new offering, an energy healing treatment based on the Harmonyum Healing practice that raised our vibration and shedded negativity. Our new friend Rufina took us into the spa experience of dry and wet saunas, a hot pool, a cold plunge, and stone beds that are like warm cocoons. Products were organic, and some were made locally. It was a transformative journey toward inner peace that refreshed and rejuvenated us.
Sunsets and Rooftop Delights: The first sunset at Viceroy Los Cabos was a magical experience. We found ourselves at the hotel's Cielomar Rooftop, sipping top-notch local wines as we watched the sky change colors. The breathtaking panoramic views provided the perfect backdrop for a moment of reflection and gratitude.
Indulging in Poolside Bliss: Our second day was spent by the upper pool, surrounded by lush greenery and serenity. We started our morning with delicious oat milk lattes and refreshing kale and fruit smoothies, specially made for us upon request. The staff at Viceroy Los Cabos went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, infusing each moment with love and care.
We returned to the Nitido Beach and Poolside bar for lunch, enjoying refreshing Pina Coladas made with fresh coconut and pineapple. It was the perfect way to cool off and savor the tropical flavors of Los Cabos.
A Day of Adventure: I was ready to feel the sea and decided to go paddle boarding with High Tide, a local woman-owned business for adventure seekers to indulge in the magic of Cabo in nature. I was taken by two guides, Marco and Paco, both extremely knowledgeable about the area, the Sea of Cortez, surf, and paddling. I got on my board, and off we went to the infamous Arch in Cabo San Lucas, the rock formation that erupts from the sea. So many of us have seen the pictures but paddling got me up close and personal.
