Knödelfest– A Dumpling Celebration like no other each September, Sankt Johann in Tirol comes alive with the legendary Knödelfest—home to the world’s longest dumpling table, stretching nearly 600 meters through the center of town. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the festival, and you can be part of this unforgettable celebration. Savor more than 25 varieties of traditional dumplings, from savory bacon and cheese to sweet apricot and plum, all served by local chefs and families.​

Mike is the host of the Travel With Meaning podcast, driven by a passion for creating meaningful and memorable adventures. This will be his third time attending Knödelfest and his fourth consecutive year visiting Austria. Mike has developed a deep appreciation for Austria's "Wellness" lifestyle and is eager to share his insights on what wellness means to Austrians with all of you

Day 1 - September 16: Arrive in Innsbruck
Fly into Munich and transfer to Innsbruck. Explore the charming town or settle in and unwind. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and a local pub stroll with your fellow travelers.

Day 2 - September 17: Culture + Mountain Vistas
Start with a guided walking tour of Innsbruck's Old Town. Then ride the Nordkette Cable Car for breathtaking views and a leisurely alpine hike. Group dinner in the heart of the city.

Day 3 - September 18: Train to Sankt Johann
Journey through stunning mountain landscapes by train. Arrive in Sankt Johann and enjoy a relaxed afternoon: explore the village, stretch your legs on a local trail, or rest at the spa.

Day 4 - September 19: Hike Adventure + Almerfest
Take the gondola to the top of the mountain and begin your morning hike as Almerfest kicks off the Knödelfest weekend. Choose your afternoon vibe—village wander, wellness time, or alpine adventure e-bike or hike.
Day 5 - September 20: Knödelfest Celebration
Celebrate like a local at the 45th annual Knödelfest—Europe’s oldest dumpling festival. Expect hearty food, festive music, traditional dress, and joyful connection. This could be the best food festival in the world you’ve never heard of!

Day 6 - September 21: Transfer to Spa
Midday train to the wellness spa. Check into the SPA and spend the afternoon soaking in thermal pools, experiencing the Aufguss sauna, strolling the property, or exploring village.

Day 7 - September 22: E-Bike Ride & Reflection
Enjoy a morning e-bike ride through pristine alpine scenery. Pause for reflection at a mountain creek. Wrap up the trip with an afternoon at the spa and a closing group dinner
